Man killed in shooting on Indy's northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a deadly shooting Tuesday afternoon on the city's northeast side.Officers arrived and found a man outside a car who had been shot. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

"People are just trying to work and live their lives like a normal person but they can't," one neighbor said.Police believe the suspect and victim knew each other and were in a car together when the man was shot. Police have not shared information on a possible motive.IMPD is investigating a deadly shooting in the 9100 block of East 38th Place on April 9, 2024.

"It is a difficult afternoon for this community and our community of Indianapolis where a man has lost his life to gunfire," IMPD Lt.
