Man in critical condition after being shot, robbed outside bar on city’s South Side

The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. outside the Mustang Sally’s bar in the 3400 block of Roosevelt Avenue, not far from Southeast Military Drive.

According to police, the victim was shot multiple times and the male suspect fled on foot. Officers have been searching the area for the suspect. KSAT12 spoke to a man connected to the bar who said the victim was a customer who was leaving around closing time. He said the victim walked to his car, which was parked toward the back of the building, and was confronted by a guy in a black hoodie. He says the gunman ripped the victim’s watch off his arm, then shot him.

The victim, a man likely in his 30s, was hit both in his hand and the upper body. He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, in critical condition.The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all responded to the call.About the Author:
