CENTERVILLE, Ohio — A resident in a Dayton suburb shot and killed a man who reportedly broke into a home early Thursday morning, police say.
A woman called 911 just before 5 a.m. and told the dispatcher that someone was trying to break in, police say. A gunshot was heard while the woman was still on the phone with the dispatcher. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man on the floor just inside the door with a gunshot wound to his head, police say.
