Florian Sterling, 51, also had 10 active warrants for his arrest, a Salt Lake City Police officer reported in a probable cause statement. Sterling was arrested shortly after noon on Wednesday after authorities conducted a lewdness investigation and found him "masturbating in front of an elementary school class as they were on a field trip," the affidavit states." has shown no regard for the safety of children or others around him.
Sterling was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail at 2 p.m. on suspicion of 50 Class A misdemeanor counts of lewdness involving a child, two Class B misdemeanor counts of lewdness, and 10 Class B misdemeanor counts of bail jumping.
