Man arrested for shooting 19-year-old during fight on North Side, San Antonio police say

San Antonio police respond to an incident on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in the 6900 block of San Pedro Avenue, south of Loop 410.– A 42-year-old man was arrested for shooting a 19-year-old during a fight on the North Side last week, according to San Antonio police.

Victor Castro-Aponte is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and failure to identify to a peace officer.in the 6900 block of San Pedro Avenue. San Antonio police said the two men were in a physical altercation, and Castro-Aponte left the scene in a vehicle. He returned on foot and shot the 19-year-old from behind, police said.Castro-Aponte was arrested on Saturday. Records show his pre-hearing is set for June 4.Mason Hickok is a digital journalist at KSAT.
