A Salt Lake City man who has been terrorizing his neighbors on Chadwick Street for years will not get out of jail. Maurice Charles Raffoul, 43, was in West Jordan District Court on Monday for a competency hearing to assess competency evaluations to see if he is competent to stand trial. ty Metro Jail since mid-November on multiple charges of violating civil stalking injunctions and following extensive 2News investigations.
Raffoul’s father, Assad Raffoul, also his victim, was in the gallery and then Van De Kamp raised issues about his confinement. Van De Kamp told the judge that Assad is complaining that his 43-year-old son is being held in segregation far too long citing his son has dietary issues and wants him to be housed in a different pod in the jail.
