The Ohio State freshman entered Sunday night's game against Nebraska with just 63 points on the season, only reaching double figures once when he scored 11 against Penn State last month.

The 35 points are the most of any Ohio State freshman in a Big Ten conference game, topping D'Angelo Russell's 33 points against Nebraska in 2015. It's also the second-most of any Buckeye freshman all-time, behind only Jared Sullinger's 40-point performance against IUPUI in 2010. Branham's 35 points came on a 13-for-19 shooting performance where he went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc. He also had six rebounds and two assists while playing a game-high and career-high 42 minutes.
