It would be nice to occasionally see some bleakness though. Hard to achieve when a studio is throwing millions at a budget and wants a return, but he could have easily done the Dr. Strangelove ending and it would have been awesome.

When Shyamalan is on, he’s a top-10 director, capable of great things cinematically. When he misses, he - well, he misses big. There is no “decent” Shyamalan movie for me. It’s love/hate.
