Love Island 's Olivia and Alex Bowen slam series for it's fake elements and said it was 'a lot worst' because of the 'savage' elements

The couple fell madly in love with each other when they first crossed paths on the 2016 series where they came runner-up to Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey.Love did the trick for the pair who were married two years after they met and sparks were flying on the set of the reality series.

In the wake of the first ever winter series, everyone has been questioning how real the Love Island series is.On reflection of the new winter series, Olivia contemplated this on the PrettyLittleThing podcast in discussion with her Love Island star husband.

The blonde bombshell questioned whether the ITV bosses had got more involved in the show than when she starred on the show.She said: "Now we look at it and we think have the producers got involved in this?"The duo confessed they were relieved to have gone on the show when they did four years ago because newer elements like Casa Amor have been "savage" for the islanders.

As a result, Alex has been barely watching the show that made him famous.He said: "I don't think I'd of liked to have gone on it now, knowing what I know now, I'm glad we went on when we did."Olivia added: "Alex isn't really watching the new series."

In a follow-up tweet, the reality star reiterated the Love Island formula was "way more savage" because bosses had upped the ante with elements like Casa Amor.She wrote: "[Love Island is] savageeee - way more savage than when we were in there, we didn’t have casa amor for starters."
