Director Richard Curtis reflects on the humor of his hit Christmas movie Love Actually after complaints from his daughter about the language used.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Love Actually may be considered a Christmas classic, but writer and director Richard Curtis has revealed he regrets some of the humor used in the movie. The romantic comedy followed numerous couples as they navigated their relationships throughout the holiday season. Love Actually was packed with a star-studded cast that included the likes of Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, and Keira Knightly.

I remember how shocked I was like five years ago when Scarlett said to me, "You can never use the word ‘fat’ again." And wow, right. I think I was behind the curve, and those jokes aren’t any longer funny, so I don’t feel I was malicious at the time, but I think I was unobservant and not as clever as I should have been.
