The RingsOfPower Honest Trailer is here, poking fun at the show's large amount of subplots. Check it out here:

Over a week after the season 1 finale aired, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Honest Trailer mocks the show's many subplots. Based on J.R.R. Tolkien's novels and their appendices, the Prime Video series chronicles the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth when evil is beginning to rise in the far reaches of the kingdom, thousands of years before the events of The Lord of the Rings.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY The audience response to Rings of Power, on the other hand, has been an entirely different story. Shortly after its premiere, Rings of Power was review-bombed by disgruntled fans, some of them taking issue with the show's diverse cast. There is also a faction of faithful Tolkien fans who have more legitimate issues with the show's deviation from the source material and other issues pertaining to the story, acting, and pacing.

Will Rings of Power Season 2 Story Be More Streamlined? With Rings of Power season 1 laying the foundation for several side plots, it's unlikely they are abandoned in season 2 in an attempt to streamline the show. Rings of Power is an incredibly ambitious series, perhaps to a fault, that is attempting to condense about 3000 years worth of Middle-earth history into a single period of time.

Furthermore, creators J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay have already said that negative fan feedback won't have any impact on the future of the show. Therefore, don't expect Rings of Power season 2 to abandon side plots or streamline the show in an attempt to placate fans.
