Los bomberos han estado fijos en una batalla inusual para defender las secuoyas gigantes de California, a veces combatiendo fuego con fuego

Mientras tanto, los bomberos el martes estaban dirigiendo su atención hacia las comunidades históricas de Cabin Cove, Silver City y Mineral King, donde algunas de las cabañas centenarias estaban a unas tres millas del borde del Complejo KNP. El fuego ha aumentado a 25.142 acres y permanece incontenible.
