County officials approved a series of motions to strengthen gun restrictions Tuesday following a series of mass shootings throughout California.
The Board of Supervisors unanimously endorsed a new ordinance they say will strengthen gun regulations by restricting gun sales and possession"We know that blame for the gun violence epidemic lies with the failure of congressional leaders to pass even the most basic federal gun laws," board Chair Janice Hahn, who wrote the motions along with Supervisors Hilda Solis and Lindsey Horvath, said in a statement following the vote.
Another called for the development of an ordinance that would create a 1,000-foot buffer zone between gun stores and"child-sensitive areas" such as schools, . It also requested the drafting of an ordinance that would require all privately-owned firearms locked away, and one that would mandate liability insurance for gun owners. An eleventh person has died and ten more were injured at the studio near a Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday night.
Great now no one will have a gun to protect against this happening . I'm sure with the new regulations only used by legal gun owners will have the criminals lining up to turn theirs in. California is among the actual lowest I.Q's on the globe.
Typical knee jerk democrats. I guess the criminals will see the new regs and turn in their weapons. Clowns
You know, because it wasnt already illegal to shoot people. Maybe we should strengthen some drug laws so people will stop doing them.
Yeah don’t focus on the real problem of mental health.
