Lori Loughlin is not counting on John Stamos to “guide” her two daughters if she is convicted of fraud and sent to prison, despite a report. The story isn't true.

can bust the tabloid report claiming she is. The story is not true.this week is purporting that Loughlin, who is facing the possibility of years in prison, has turned to herco-star, Stamos, to look out for her daughters. The outlet quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “She feels Olivia Jade and Bella need looking after and who better to do it than her TV husband John?” It’s worth noting that both girls are legal adults – Isabella is 21 and Olivia Jade is 20.

The tabloid, however, contends that Loughlin’s daughters will need “someone to watch over them and oversee their monthly allowance.” The unreliable magazine quotes the insider again, “They will have enough to live on, but it comforts Lori to know John will be there for them to lean on if they run into trouble during their emotional highs and lows.” The dubious source adds that Stamos “expressed to her that he’s happy to help.

While the article mentions that Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, could face up to 50 years in prison for their involvement in the college admissions scandal, most legal experts think their terms, if convicted, would be more like two to five years. Both have pleaded not guilty to the charges. Even so, the idea that two adult children would need a guardian, as the article implies, is preposterous.

What’s even more ridiculous is the idea that because Stamos and Loughlin played a married couple on TV, she would turn to him for that kind of thing. It’s not unreasonable, given their long professional history together, that Stamos would be supportive in the family’s time of need. But handling their money and distributing their allowance? That’s pretty far-fetched.
