"We are definitely in a crisis," she said.
"The A-Line has been turned into a mobile homeless shelter and, unfortunately, the Metro Company is dumping them off here every night," said property manager Joe Harding. "No information. Nothing else is open. No other services," Harding said."They're just left to wander." "We had an armed robbery," Harding said as he listed the incidents at Lafayette."57 times, I've had to paint the lower section of the building."
Title is misleading👉🏽 Should read: Long Beach residents are saying public transportation is making the homeless crisis worst for residents.
I can verify. I saw ten well-dressed men with briefcases get on the A-line at 7th street and by the time we got off in downtown Long Beach they were wearing tattered clothes and pushing shopping carts off the train.
Did you fact checking these statements or just print them with no actual reporting?
The Democrats you voted for created this problem, hopefully you’ll change your vote in November.
Or the fact the mayor is soft on crime
…*|!{¥|¥,!}]+]£_]£{{*€]£[€}…is making homeless crisis worse
If LA Metro 🚇🚈 would just do fare enforcement at the entry gates to the rider platforms that would help tremendously! No pay, no ride! 🤔🙂
That blue line is a mess
lol im sure they are. Or maybe the two you talked to in order to fuel this narrative
It is. Giving free transport to the homeless is just a disaster of epic proportions, spreading drugs and crime far and wide.
How about we stop pointing fingers at the blue line which has always ended there, and crime which has always been there, and start figuring out what to do about homeless people?
If the train enforced fares, this wouldn’t be a problem. Why can’t we have ticketed turnstiles, security, enforcement at every station like every other city on the planet?
Fly them to NYC or Martha’s Vineyard
You know it’s bad when a liberal town like Long Beach starts complaining
Soooooo drop them off someplace else? Check at Del Amo station? Far away from there station? Oh yeah that totally makes sense 😒
Why can’t the city put these homeless to work? Why can’t there be work integration programs? Why can’t they earn their way into using city services and lodging?
Always will.
