Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Move over, Superman: Lois Lane gets her own Action Comics spotlight in 2024 with a new story by Rainbow Rowell and Cian Tormey. After her celebrated runs at Marvel Comics, Rowell — a best-selling romance writer in her own right — makes her DC Comics debut in a three-part Action Comics back-up story starring DC's original love interest and leading lady.
While focusing on Lois' career as an essential journalist — and, recently, the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Planet — this story will most assuredly have its romance elements. As Rowell says: Lois Lane was promoted to Editor-in-Chief in 2023's Superman #1 by Joshua Williamson and Jamal Campbell. Perry White, meanwhile, has been running for mayor of Metropolis after stepping down from the Planet after a medical emergency.
Readers can check out Lois' last solo series, Lois Lane: Enemy of the People by Greg Rucka, Mike Perkins, Gabe Eltaeb, Paul Mounts, Andy Troy, and Simon Bowland, in a collected edition from DC Comics. Lois also starred in her own DC Young Adult graphic novel: Girl Taking Over: A Lois Lane Story by Sarah Kuhn and Arielle Jovellanos, available now in trade paperback from DC Comics.
