SAN ANTONIO - Superintendents from across the San Antonio area will roll up their sleeves to donate blood in support of Uvalde, honoring the victims and survivo

TONIGHT at 6 pm we examine how local school districts are overcoming challenges they have faced over the past year. Superintendents from across the San Antonio area will roll up their sleeves to donate blood in support of Uvalde , honoring the victims and survivors of the Robb Elementary tragedy.

On Friday, superintendents from seven school districts, including Northside, South San, Southwest, and Somerset, will gather at the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center to donate blood. The event will begin at 9 a.m. Blood donations played a crucial role in the aftermath of the Robb Elementary shooting. Among those saved by the generosity of donors was 11-year-old survivor Mayah Zamora, who required several blood transfusions after sustaining severe injuries.

Participants in the blood drive will receive a "United for Uvalde" shirt as a token of appreciation for their contribution.
