High school seniors from Mobile, Baldwin, Washington and Jefferson counties were on campus, taking advantage of a chance of a lifetime – auditioning for prestigious band programs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

) - Bishop State Community College was full of a much younger crowd Saturday.

“I’m a mixture of nervous and excited because this is a first time thing for me…and hopefully I do well,” said Robert Miskel, a senior at Davidson High School. “Usually I’m like reserved and soft spoken. But if I go to A&M, I feel like I’ll be able to expand upon other traits I may not have known I had,” said Miskel.He’s a senior of John L. LeFlore Magnet High School who wants to attend…“The Alabama State University,“ said Stewart.
