Rochester, N.Y. — Dr. Jennifer Nayak , an infectious disease expert at the University of Rochester Medical Center, spoke Wednesday about the dangers of not getting the proper vaccines required for school.
This comes after state investigators announced charges against Sandra Miceli, a nurse practitioner who operates 'Surviving Naturally" wellness center in Webster who's accused of creating false vaccination records for more than 115 children across the state. The state says Miceli falsely reported a total of 546 vaccination for school-aged kids in more than 25 school districts.BACKGROUND:"A kid who is unprotected against these diseases can unknowingly be spreading them to kids who are vaccinated, Nayak said.
