With more heavy rain, the levels of Lake Conroe are higher than normal, which could create dangerous conditions for boaters. Because of that, Lake Conroe is temporarily closed. According to the San Jacinto River Authority, theyMay 2, 2024 8:05 am: SJRA notified our office that a increase in storm water release is necessary and they are currently releasing 30,045 CFS. Significant flooding downstream from the Lake will occur.
