Joaquin Niemann has won two of three LIV Golf events to start the 2024 season and he's seen his odds shorten from +1,400 at Mayakoba to +650 in Hong Kong this week. We break down his chances in our LIV Golf Hong Kong preview below.golf odds
This is a short course that's seen plenty of scoring over the past half-decade, with the winning score 17-under or better in all three Hong Kong Opens since 2018. With that said, it's still a tight course and accuracy will be key. This will undoubtedly be one of the most popular picks this week, but the first golfer we are going to target in Hong Kong is Cameron Smith.
He was a two-time winner on LIV last season, and I expect this trend of going in the right direction to continue this week. The other golfer to target this week is Louis Oosthuizen, who's had some spectacular rounds this season with his runner-up finish at Jeddah and ninth-place finish at Mayakoba. This early success is primarily due to his accuracy off the tee, ranking fifth on LIV in fairway hit percentage.
