Lie-Detector Test Brings Up Drug, Money Issues for Aaron Carter and Mom (Exclusive)

In TooFab's exclusive sneak peek of the WE tv series, the child star and Jane Carter tell Judge Lynn Toler which questions they'd like to pose on the other for the show's dreaded lie-detector test. However, as always, if Judge Toler feels the questions they came up with will not help the pair get to the root of their problems, she may override them with some of her own.

Back in the living room of the group's mansion, Judge Toler looks over at Aaron and lets him know his question will be the following: "Do you blame your mother for your substance abuse?" He turns his head to face Jane and gasps, "Oh, shit."Aaron has struggled with addiction issues since his sister, Leslie, died of a drug overdose in 2012 at the age of 25. In 2017, Aaron's father also died. Two months later, he was arrested for DUI.

"Started when I was about 16," he went on, noting that he "didn't really touch it until I was about 23, right after I did 'Dancing with the Stars.' And I started going to Staples and Office Depot and different places, buying it with cash so it wouldn't be reported on receipts or anything like that, so no one could trace me."
