'That’s the type of person I am. I’m an expert at turning a negative into a positive,” Mugrabi says of the criticism she has received.

“I actually didn’t have the worst year in 2020,” Libbie Mugrabi declares. It’s mid-December and the socialite and art world fixture is on the phone from her home in the Hamptons, which she returned to recently following a headline-making stint in Miami during what is typically the ever-crowded Art Basel Miami Beach. This year, of course, the crowds were kept away, as the official art week was canceled due to the pandemic. But for Libbie Mugrabi, the party didn’t stop.

The hats are emblazoned with words like “gaslit” and “psychofan,” a twist on “sycophant,” which she says come from how she has felt for “probably the past 20 years” . Mugrabi certainly seems to be living by Warhol’s words. Despite CDC guidelines urging Americans to do quite the opposite, Mugrabi has been on the go for much of the pandemic, “choosing to live,” she says.” She’s been between Florida and London more recently, and “traveled immensely through Europe,” in the early months of the pandemic when even the boldest of travelers were locked down at home.

Walter Reed doc who blasted Trump drive-by says 'I regret nothing' after final shiftDr. James Phillips had called the president's drive-by stunt outside the hospital while infected with coronavirus in October 'insanity' and 'political theater.' Auditioning for a 'contributor' gig at MSNBC? Pathetic. The strangest thing is that this virus first infected humans, then infected cats, then infected dogs, then infected zoo animals, ... If the virus was naturally evolved the infection chain should be other way around. This proves that the virus is man-made. Thank goodness this was not an apology tour. Finally someone who didn't buck under pressure to keep his job and stood by his words!

NPR Cookie Consent and ChoicesHe was a professional with ethics. Isn't that what we ask of all our healthcare providers? Thank you Dr Who. 😉 You can not fix stupid but please keep trying to get Trump to concede and get his family and himself the hell out of office and the WH, now, without a mask. American voters have saved themselves from misfits, Trump’s mask-less base, destruction, lies and fear.

'Cleo McDougal Regrets Nothing' Shows the Balancing Act Working Moms Must NavigateIt was 2018. More women than ever were running for office; the Me Too and Time’s Up movements were bringing brave new voices to the forefront; more previously apolitical women were recognizing their agency and their value. I didn’t set out to write a “political” book but I did, certainly, understand that so much of what women do right now can make a statement and pave the way for other women, even in small ways, even with quiet steps.
