To that end, a team created a series of 18 meetings, inviting all the neighbors to cooperatively codify their ideas within a document that would serve the interest of all neighbors. Conservation planner Trevor Brown, chief planner in the conservation office of Dallas City Planning, hosted and so very patiently and skillfully educated us as to the possibilities, pitfalls and outcomes of our ideas.In meetings, we decided with a show of hands. A draft was created and sent to the city.
I have no idea whether the Lakewood conservation district’s proposed expansion is a good idea or not, but let’s let them work it out. Democracy is messy sometimes.
