Since it’s difficult to be in all places at all times in a school setting, it would be hard to patrol such objectionable behavior by male students. Perhaps prohibiting dresses is the simple way to stop such specific bad behavior of boys toward girls.What’s the lesson? Control of female bodies. The state of Texas is strongly invested in controlling women and girls.

Let the girls wear pants or shorts and forget about monitoring hemlines. Teachers and administrators have too much on their plate already.I don’t know whom to attribute this quote to, but it has never been more relevant or true: “If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament.”Re: “Roe was wrong, but new law needed — A federal standard should set abortion limits with no prohibition in the first trimester,” Saturday editorial.

I regularly read Sharon Grigsby’s columns and always come away enlightened. Today’s column is especially important. I could not agree more with what she says and believe the majority of Americans concur, especially about women’s rights. And to have it so eloquently and clearly written just adds to its merit.
