Billionaire investor and founder of Omega Advisors Leon Cooperman spoke with CNBC on the 'Halftime Report.'

"I would say we're in the early stages of knocking on the stages of euphoria, but we're not quite [fully in] euphoria," he said. "Certain parts of the market are in euphoria like Tesla. Other parts of the market, like energy, are in pessimism."Cooperman's comment on Tesla come on the heels of a historic stock run for the Palo Alto, California-based electric car maker.

Your taxes WILL be going up Leon. Signed We The People.

Trump believes debt good. Let's praise our monster leader.

Trump bankrupt everything he touched; but the Russian mafia needed to launder their money so he was saved but our country won’t be saved

I was so apoplectic at his absurd Bernie/Communist comments that I missed this more reasonable attack on the GOP tax cut and the predictable/resultant bump in the debt.

Idiot. All driven by QE. Take away QE you wouldn't have a federal budget deficit & corporations would have been Emperors without any clothes. All it did was bail out bankrupts & push up debt loads everywhere. Most stupid policy the Keynesians could have come up with.

Reduce military spending and raise taxes on billionaires for exploiting workers. Billionaires don’t even use the money anyway. That’ll fix the deficit.

Leo of bad comb-over spouts nonsense while trying to drive up the stock valuation of his favorite company, Ocwen... Yes, the same company that offshores US labor to India and the Philippines. Cry me some real tears, Leo.

And not a peep about the $1.7 TRILLION tax giveaway to the wealthy and the slashing of corporate tax rates. You’d think if he were seriously concerned about the deficit, he’d be against GOP policies that reduce Treasury receipts and *increase* the deficit.

always a privilege to listen to Mr Cooperman

It's about time someone actually wants to talk about this. I hear about all this talk of how Trump made our economy so good except for the simple fact that he grew our deficit out of control! FactsMatter

let us raise his taxes to reduce the deficit then

why is this senile old man allowed on tv

The House establishes spending bills. I can’t remember who controls the House right now, but we should blame them for the current deficit spending.

It’s not the deficit. It’s useless spending. Commie is forcing the American workers to pay the SALT deductible just so the worthless Trump kids can “earn” a salary 🙄💸

US corporate debt is over $10 TRILLION. And a majority of the corporate bond are now low-grade

Pay you taxes Leon Cooperman. Crybaby.

I agree. Everyone thinks they don't need to go to the pump tomorrow.

Said it before I'll say it again next time oil is above $100 gas will be a luxury item that rich collectors use to drive their collector cars on closed tracks. Either that or WWIII if AV is the future then EVs are the answer. AV combustion is too complicated.

I just watched this. He seems very confused. I remember this guy cheerleading equities in 2007 and we all know how that turned out.

The real problem for energy will be when elonmusk combines his solarglass with Tesla

Great interview with Mr. Cooperman! Great questions- great answers! He’s a smart guy - I can see why he’s been so successful. His quote of Will Rogers was priceless! Go Leon!!

gee, wonder if he’s getting killed on energy ...asking for a friend

Only way to combat $tsla is for energy and auto to come together to develop sustainable bio fuel for combustion engines. Methane, bio diesel, algae based ethanol . Problem is AV is easier with electronic motors vs combustion.
