The volume of coverage and criticism, James said, was unfair because Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, 80, has not experienced the same firestorm for a 1957 photo of him as a 15-year-old among a white mob preventing six Black students from entering a segregated high school in Arkansas.it in an article detailing the backstory of the picture and how Jones’ great legacy may be tainted because he has yet to hire a Black NFL head coach.
“It seems like to me the whole Jerry Jones situation, photo — and I know it was years ago and we all make mistakes, I get it. But it seems like it’s just been buried under like ‘Oh, it happened,’ OK. We just move on. And I was just kind of disappointed that I haven’t received that question from you guys.”
“I knew nothing was going to come of it,” Famuyide said. “He’s the most visible owner in sports. He has his own radio show that he does every single week. He doesn’t hide from the media. So, it wasn’t like there wasn’t an opportunity for anybody to ask him about this. And when they did ask him about it, he just kind of chalked it up to ... ‘Well, you know, I was 14 years old and I was curious, and I know I look bad, but you know, whatever, whatever.’ And it just kind of was over and done with.

He’s not wrong …
Is there a double standard? Yes. Always has been. Sports reporters are notorious for protecting their friends and protecting their access to athletes.
Of course LeBron understands double standards after criticizing American police while shilling for the Chinese.
KingJames claim is ridiculous. It was 1957 and the guy was 15. It’s the 21st century now and Irving is an adult. Totally different.
W/ JJ, That was 50+ years ago! People who have anger will always bring up the past .JJ has made black folks millions. the blacks still want to bring up racism and slavery! The blacks wouldnt know who Jim Crow was if he was standing right in front of them. The past doesn't exist !
We’ll get back with you, LeBron. Keep dribbling.
LeBron should mind his loosing teams business.
No question that Jones' action was long ago and Irving's was just weeks ago. But Irving's action doesn't have a direct impact in terms of preventing an individual from exercising their rights. Jones, had he succeeded, would have prevented students from attending school. Not good.
where is miguel almaguer
He is 200% correct
Didn’t know Lebro played football and his opinion mattered regarding a sport he’s not involved in. 🤷♂️
Well lebron, one happened in current time and in your current league. The other was a high school student in 1957. We have lost our fucking minds digging up 70 year old photos to go after people about.
just play ball already!!!
Yes Apartheid standards
LeBron James is absolutely right about what he said with with the media on the Kyrie Irving situation versus Jerry Jones .
Let's talk about his son and wife
meanwhile.....
Why didn't KingJames ask him himself the several times he has hung out with Jones?
Wow more sniveling race card garbage what a shocker
there's a double standard for lebum when it comes to his complete silence over China's tyranny and abuse of its own citizens.
😂
Look into a mirror LeBron.
So a black basketball player who makes 119.5 million/year shooting a basketball, in the American NBA, suggested that he was subjected to racism?
Yeah Jerry has really changed . Except blackballing Kapernick, threatening to fire any of his players who kneeled , not hiring black coaches….
Hes a basketball player. Ask him about basketball-related things. Easy. Who cares what he thinks about FB
Dear LaBrainless: people change in 63 years, you friend Kyrie is saying this garbage today. Talk about a false equivalency. And, FWIW, I despise Jones but here you are making me stand up for him.
Apartied Apparatus in everyplace and endeavor that's the duality in living here
Lebron, the king of double standards. Anyone ask him about his feelings on the slaves that make his shoes The current slaves that is. Not Lebron thinking he’s oppressed.
