Lazoschmidl - SFW SS22: Meet Me At The Rave — NORDIC STYLE MAG

Provocative with a touch of humor is a common theme shown throughout LAZOSCHMIDL’s SS22 collection.

Where else would you find a top with the message “BJ 4 Free” on a blue, cotton-candy, patent leather top? If you wanted to grab the audience's attention - that is certainly how one could do it. Naturally, the humour and patent leather did not simply end here. The patent is featured more prominently throughout several looks, most notably as a unitard in both a short and longer model, in a perfect sunny yellow.

One of the surprises that was surely welcomed this season was the addition of the cinched, Y2K-inspired tank top in three different colours, prints and textiles. The rose-gold, metallic one was reminiscent of something that Paris Hilton or Britney Spears might have worn in 2004 and I am TOTALLY here for it.

Prints have always been strong for LAZOSCHMIDL and this season did not disappoint. Cow print returned, and I would have loved to have seen more of it throughout the collection, and a new checkerboard print was applied to a host of mesh items, which were made from recycled PET bottles. In addition, a new lava-lamp inspired print made its debut on a hot pink and lime green suit of sorts.

This collection was reminiscent of images I have seen of the rave scene in the 90s. It was bold and kinky, but stayed true to the brand’s DNA. It brought life to us at the end of summer when we needed it the most.
