'Last Week Tonight': John Oliver on the Presidential Debate and Why Trump Being on His 'Best Behavior' Isn't H

The HBO host fact-checked Trump for several statements he made during Thursday's debate and weighed in on Trump's comment that he was"least racist person in the room."by diving into the presidential debate and the latest news revolving around President Trump.

He then noted that Trump insisted during the debate that he was the"least racist person in the room." Oliver noted that the media and talking-head response to this debate was"slight relief," with one newscaster noting that"no one set themselves on fire." However, Oliver opined, that isn't really high praise.

Oliver also addressed the controversy surrounding Hunter Biden and the"laptop from hell." But Oliver noted that"there are a lot of red flags here, including the fact that The New York Post story that broke it was reportedly written mostly by a staff reporter who refused to put his name on it and the laptop's conduit to the press is Rudy Giuliani, who intelligence officials flagged last year was the target of a Russian intelligence operation to feed misinformation to Trump.

How and why is it that every time Oliver blathers on television THR reports the event as 'news'? The remainder of fantastically mediocre 'comedians' perform multiple times per week and they are not lavished with equally unearned praise. Phooey.

Canadians are shocked that Trump has traction in US since quarter million citizens have died of Covid -- equivalent to 670 Boeing 747s each with 336 passengers crashing without survivors; 3 jumbo jets daily since March, while Trump spurns precautions and tells lies causing death.

That is like telling a child don’t go touching the displays in stores, or don’t go yelling etc in church. Trump is such a baby! Wawawa..I didn’t get my own way.

But John’s a comedian.
