It might not have been necessary if Republicans had taken care of the people properly from the beginning. But $1800 for a year, doesn't cut it. PPP loans going to ultra rich, instead of real small businesses, doesn't cut it. Forcing people to stay in poverty, doesn't cut it.
The truth and certainty is that the epidemic crisis has exhausted everyone, but to different degrees..and there must be compensation or assistance for the most suffering and vulnerable groups..and this will have positive economic and social effects.
