LAPD is tweaking its masking policy. What about LAFD, LACOFD and LASD?

some Los Angeles City agencies are tweaking their policies as well.

At Tuesday’s meeting of the L.A. Police Commission, L.A. Police Department Chief Michel Moore announced that officers who are fully vaccinated are now not required to wear a mask outdoors, unless they are interacting with the public. Department employees are still required to wear masks indoors or while in their patrol cars, regardless of vaccine status.

The L.A. Fire Department will not change its mask mandate unless L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti issues a directive to do so, according to a spokesperson for the department. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department does not have any changes planned to their mask policies either.

New limits on 'pretextual stops' by LAPD officers approved, riling police unionLos Angeles police can no longer use minor violations as an excuse to investigate motorists, bicyclists or pedestrians for more serious crimes unless they first have information that justifies the intrusion. NiggaTheory thoughts? (Almost) everybody in L.A. loves police and prison reforms but (almost) everybody is freaked out by fast rising and broadening blatant crime. These can't exist coequally in the short term. When I read this, watch BoschAmazon and therookie I wonder what the average LAPD officer is really like.

LAPD officers now required to explain 'pretextual' stopsThe Los Angeles Police Department defines a pretextual stop as one in which officers conducting a minor traffic or code violation escalate it into an investigation of a more serious crime unrelated to the initial violation. My understanding of 'pretextual' in a legal sense is an excuse to do another act; i.e., expired tags to stop a vehicle when it's suspected of containing evidence of a crime. planting drugs I do not get why anyone in their right mind would want to be a cop in a Democrat's city.
