The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office says a driver was justified in shooting a bicyclist who tried to get into the vehicle, and no charges will be filed.Investigators said the bicyclist, Robin Megill, had multiple vehicles backed up behind him while he was riding on Fruitville Pike in Manheim Township on March 13.The driver directly behind Megill honked the horn.
Police said Megill chased the vehicle that beeped at him, then 'forcefully' opened the front passenger door and moved toward the inside of the vehicle.The driver shot Megill one time, then pulled over, called 911 and waited for police, according to investigators.The district attorney concluded the driver was legally justified in using deadly force.
