Lake Tahoe real estate is experiencing record demand as wealthy Californians continue to flee crowded cities.
Rental property demand is high and vacation rentals are full, Ochoa tells Business Insider, adding that his clients are largely San Franciscans and Angelenos desperate for more space.As city-dwellers continue to make moves to open spaces amid the pandemic, Lake Tahoe has found itself in high demand.
But one of the area's top local agents says the pandemic has skyrocketed Tahoe's already strong demand.has over $100 million in gross sales since 2016 and was ranked second in overall gross sales last year, per South Lake Tahoe MLS, and in the top 10 in overall gross sales in the region since 2016.
