Lake Erie Crushers set to begin baseball season: Avon, Avon Lake and North Ridgeville

To add to the opening day excitement, the Crushers organization is offering a BOGO promotion. A post-game fireworks show is also planned. To purchase tickets, go toA host of other promotional nights are planned throughout the season including the popular Star Wars Night June 7, and Superhero Day June 9. Crushers Stadium will also host the city’s annual Red, White and Boom Fireworks show July 3. Fireworks are also listed on the schedule for July 4.

Every Friday home game, guests can enjoy a post-game fireworks show. Saturdays offer lots of giveaways. Sunday Fundays offer kid-focused themes and other family activities, as well as pre-game catch on the field and post-game player autographs.

The big winner was Barbara Peterson who took home a Blue Ribbon and the Horticulture Excellence Award; and the Growers Choice Award and Sweepstakes Award for her terrarium entry. 2024 John T. Shook Community Service Award was presented to Ron Jantz during the annual Avon/Avon Lake Community Resource Services Charity Ball last month. According to information posted from CRS, Jantz demonstrates unselfish leadership, dedication, creativity, cooperation, and hard work in his service to others, evident in everything he does. CRS was fortunate to benefit from his talents, as he served as the Master of Ceremonies and auctioneer of the Charity Ball from 2011 - 2023.
