National Economic Council chairman Larry Kudlow said Friday he thinks the Federal Reserve should immediately cut interest rates by 50 basis points, according to Axios. Kudlow said he would love to see easier monetary policy. He said the Fed made a mistake raising its benchmark fed funds rate above 2%. Stephen Moore, the former Wall Street Journal op-ed writer who President Donald Trump wants to nominate to a seat on the Fed board, has also called for a 50 basis point rate cut.
