A shocking scene in the premiere of HBO’s ‘Sex and the City’ reboot ‘And Just Like That ...’ caused stock prices for Peloton exercise bikes to plummet.that she’s had it with the scrutiny and paparazzi efforts to “get bad pictures” of her and her costars while filming the series in New York. Incidentally, her Park Avenue princess alter ego is all for anti-aging fixes, including dyeing her hair to hide her gray.
“Everyone wants to comment, pro or nay or whatever, on our hair and our faces and our this and our that. The level of intensity of it was a shock,” she said of how the criticism affects her. “I feel angry, and I don’t want to feel angry all the time, so I don’t look at it. I just know it’s there.” The “ER” and “Seinfeld” alum’s body has been a talking point for decades, and it was frequently discussed in the media during “Sex and the City’s” original run in the late ‘90s and early aughts. Davis said weekly articles about the provocative comedy often talked about her pear-shaped figure but were not complimentary.“It would stress me out a fair amount because I couldn’t avoid it. I kind of feel like that’s how it is now too,” she said of her critics.
“That’s the problem with social media, right, is that you don’t know what those people are doing,” she added. “You don’t know anything about them. They’re just hurling bombs at you. It makes me angry.”
Me too, the lady’s look gorgeous all of them physically and emotionally !
Coming from the over-filled one.🤭
I’m 47 and forget I’m not a kid constantly. Then I watch this show and am reminded I have gray hair, am in the age to start considering a half face-lift and questioning if my husband bores me. 🙄 The writes are the issue, not the SATC fans.
As a 50 year old woman, I’d like to see the show at least mention menopause. They’re talking about literally everything but.
The actors look great but the plot lines are too cringey to bear. I know I've evolved and matured over this timeframe. Doesn't seem like these characters learned a thing in the years between 30s and 50s. Vapid as ever. Maybe that's the point? I want a Seema/Che show instead
Honey, most of the remarks are about the awful work you’ve had done.
Don't make it about age, it's all about the awful character development, writing and egos that think AndJustLikeThat was a good idea.
If they didn’t want people to be distracted by and focus so much on age then why did they make everyone act and appear 20 years older than they actually are? And why is 90% of the show’s plot about becoming prematurely geriatric? Give me a break.
Or is the issue that her character never matured?
Personally I’m really enjoying the stories about aging and feeling slightly out of touch with the world, I’m ten years behind them, but it’s definitely something I can identify with on a daily basis.
Is it that people are focusing on their age or is it that the series as a whole had aged badly as it was more ‘you should like this’ than ‘I like this’ Additionally I think this revival has put up bed who the real draw of the series was
Absolutely ‘life is not over’! Not even in your 60s.
It's the series itself that has aged poorly.
