Knives Out 3 Cast Adds Josh Brolin to Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man

, Brolin is the latest actor to join the cast of Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

The cast of the movie also includes Challengers’ Josh O’Connor, Civil War’s Cailee Spaeny, Sherlock’s Andrew Scott, Scandal’s Kerry Washington, Fatal Attraction’s Glenn Close, Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner, That ‘70s Show’s Mila Kunis, and Peaky Blinders’ Daryl McCormack. Daniel Craig is also once again reprising his role as Benoit Blanc.Brolin made his professional acting debut in 1985’s The Goonies.

His filmography also includes 2000’s Hollow Man, 2007’s American Gangster, 2008’s W., 2010’s Jonah Hex, 2010’s True Grit, 2012’s Men in Black 3, 2013’s Oldboy, 2014’s Inherent Vice, 2015’s Sicario, and 2016’s Hail, Caesar!, among other titles. He’ll next be seen in 2024’s Brothers — which is directed by Max Barbakow and also stars Peter Dinklage, Taylour Paige, Close, and Brendan Fraser — while he’ll also appear in Zach Cregger’s Weapons. Brolin additionally plays Royall Abbott in Amazon Prime Video’s Outer Range, which recently premiered its second season.

Plot details for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery remain under wraps at this time. Johnson is once again returning to write and direct the film after previously helming 2019’s Knives Out and 2022’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
