Seminole County Sheriff’s Officehave arrested the father of a toddler who found a loaded handgun in his “Paw Patrol" backpack and fatally shot his mother while she was on a Zoom call for work.
Investigators said the 2-year-old found the gun in the backpack on Aug. 11 and fired a single shot that hit his mother, Shamaya Lynn, in the head.
God Bless those effected by the tragedy. The child, his Mother's Family and the co-workers. Please do not hide unlocked handguns. If you cannot afford to buy the case, key or lock..don't buy the gun.

Hopefully they do not send him to jail because the child will be an orphan. Horrible mistake but the guy will live with that mistake for the rest of his life. You don't have to put people in jail for everything.

I think the person responsible for this negligence must be arrested regardless who the person is. All criminals must be punished equally and equitably regardless of race and ethnicity. Wrong is wrong and must be stopped.
It is really sad that many are bringing race into this. This is a tragedy and a toddler lost his mother in a horrible accident not his fault. I m truly curious how did this toddler have access to the gun? How did this toddler know how to pull the trigger?where is the adult?

I think that most gun owners have their firearms loaded and ready for action. The pressure necessary to strike the pin depends on the weapon. I have one where if the safety is off and a round is chambered ther is very little pressure needed to send action. Custom guns dif story.

A white man was arrested for a 6 year old child for almost the same reason idk on the full story but the white man was a grandpa of the 6 year old child the man was about 61 years old n has a life in prison the 6 year old fund his gun in his room n shot his father n killed him
