Kentucky Firefighters Find Infant in Recently Installed 'Baby Box'

Safe Haven Baby Box at the Bowling Green Fire Department station on Lovers Lane.Monika Kelsey, the founder of Safe Haven Baby Boxes, held a press conference. Addressing the parents of the baby, she thanked the parents for looking out for the best interests of their child, per WNKY:

“Thank you for doing what you felt you could for the life of this child,” said Kelsey. “This baby is healthy. This baby is beautiful. This baby is perfect. And the Department of Child Services is now looking for a forever home for this family… If this parent is out there and they want the resources of counseling or medical care, it is available for you at no cost.”allows parents to leave babies younger than 30 days old at a designated safe place.

Dear Father in the name of your Jesus I ask that you comfort this family. Father God, the mother must be broken I hurt for her. Please Father God give her comfort, we know that she has to be suffering greatly. Her heart is in pieces. Hold her in the name of your Jesus Amen

It’s a little disheartening this needs to be a thing, but if it saves the lives of these children then it’s a positive. I hope that a woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant might look to this rather than an abortion.

This is so sad. I used to date someone who was abandoned at birth in the UK. They had a terrible childhood in ‘the system’ and the scars to prove it. I hope this baby finds a loving family 💕💕💕

It is sad when it comes to this, but at least this baby is safe.

This is what’s known as a sign of being broken and in decline.

What in the absolute hell?!! We have gone from killing babies to dumping them off in boxes on side of the road. What a damn sick and twisted society we have become!!

Now the baby belongs to the State, and will be raised to fight fires.
