This is ridiculous. The POLICE should get training on how not to panic and shoot black people. But that would actually require a change in mentality. Easier to put the burden on kids.
If these police don't know how to interact with the general public they all need to be fired and replaced with well-adjusted human beings.
Maybe officers should be trained on how to not murder unarmed black and brown people. This video won't protect you from a racist/angry cop, you may do everything right and still get killed. The problem is the police, not civilians. Don't mollycoddle cops, hold them accountable.

We shouldn't be trained on how to deal with police. The police should be trained to interact with us (citizens) properly. They are here to protect and serve us, not the other way around.

How's about we do a better job training the police rather than leave it to our children to not get killed by them? Only in America would we think that the cops shooting people is a problem with the people getting shot and not the cops.
This does not work for people of color. Even when they follow instructions they are treated differently. Often killed. It’s wrong. We need to change immediately.
COPS ARE CIVILIANS. Civil. Fucking. Authorities. Cops are not martial. They are subject to the same law as everyone else. It's racist judges, legislatures, DA's and other cops that make it legal for a cop to kill black people in cold blood. Not laws. 'Civilians'. Horseshit.
How about making cops watch a video on how not to needlessly kill unarmed civilians? Or better yet hire better cops...

Pretty much everything I have told my (white) son. Hands at 10 and 2, announce every move before you make it, etc. Just common sense.
It's sad when parents haven't taught their kids these basics when interacting with law enforcement.
The reason this is necessary is that people aren't being raised up right to respect the law and and follow common sense.
