But the Broncos are no longer going into the high-octane, NASCAR races of the AFC West with a Hummer and wondering why they keep getting lapped. Bravo, George Paton. Say this for Broncos’ general manager: He gets it. No more Teddy Bridgewaters. No more Joe Flaccos. No more Case Keenums. No more Jeff Driskels. No more false hopes. In the AFC West, “bridge” quarterbacks only end up getting you burned.
Instead of raging over the year we spent wasted pining for Aaron Rodgers, chained to his soap opera, we can laugh. AR12 got what he wanted all along: Attention and money. It was always about the money. Enough money to soothe that precious, fragile, immunized ego. An ego that Broncos Country hopes he chokes on.
