The rest of the meals will be distributed to communities in need around the world. Feed the Hunger will also be delivering packs to India to an orphanage for children who were rescued from child slavery and to places in Haiti and Bangladesh where there are severely impoverished communities. “We're asking the community-at-large to participate, whether it's churches, organizations, nonprofits or corporations, and we’re asking that they take a two-hour spot,” Alexander said.“What we like to say is that this is a mission trip in your own backyard,” she said. “You might not ever be able to go to the Appalachian Mountains or to Haiti or Sri Lanka, but we provide an opportunity for you to aid these communities.
How about feeding our homeless and veterans instead.
