For the special, Berry brought on the royal couple as guests of honor, and she interviews them each during the course of the hour. While you may recognize Berry as a former judge on, she also acts as a cook for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family. In fact,that the Duchess revealed during the special that she often used Berry’s recipes to make pizza, all of which are loved by her three kids.
During the special, the Duke and Duchess enlist Berry’s help in preparing food for a royal event, being held to thank all those who have worked and volunteered this holiday season. It ends with a Christmas party hosted by the royal couple, which also includes some of Berry’s favorite Christmas recipes.
In the special, Berry also asked Prince William about his charity work with the homeless and discussed how his relationship with his mother, Princess Diana, influenced how he teaches his kids about such issues, BBC reports. "My mother knew what she was doing with it. She realised that it was very important when you grow up—especially in the life that we grew up—that you realise that life happens beyond palace walls, and that you see real people struggling with real issues,” he said.
The special will air today in the UK at 8:30 GMT on BBC One. It remains unclear if the special will also air in the US.
