Vice President Kamala Harris defended President Joe Biden after what many viewed as a disastrous debate performance during a combative interview with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.Biden, who has faced concerns about his age, faced a wave of criticism following his debate performance against former President Donald Trump Thursday night as viewers noted he sounded hoarse and that he lacked energy throughout the night. He faced calls for his replacement from some Democrats.

Harris praised Biden for his work negotiating a bipartisan infrastructure deal and meeting with military and intelligence leaders. She said he convenes world leaders, 'who often ask for his advice.''I'm not going to spend all night with you talking about the last 90 minutes when I've been watching the last three-and-a-half years of performance,' she said.
