As Democrats debate how best to expand health coverage, Tim Kaine and Michael Bennet are trying to ensure the party doesn’t swing too far to the left

.

In an interview, Kaine said many Americans report high levels of satisfaction with the insurance they receive through their employers and that the goal of the Medicare X proposal is to provide another, lower cost option to people through the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.Get the latest on the health care fight, every weekday morning — in your inbox.By signing up you agree to receive email newsletters or alerts from POLITICO. “180 million people in America get their insurance through an employer-based plan and Medicare X gives people the opportunity to decide whether they want to stay on that plan,” Bennet said in an interview. “Some of the other plans take away insurance from those 180 million.”

I agree with this 1000%.

Tim who?

TOO LATE!!!!

A little late for that...

Tim, WTF man. We already tried to offer this in the ACA—it was lambasted to hell by the GOP as too progressive. It’s a miracle we got the ACA at all, and we came within ONE VOTE of losing it. Wake up Tim 👏 they’re at the gates with the battering ram and you’re out to lunch

It wasn't so incremental getting Medicare and Social Security there to begin with. Now a never-ending fight every session just to keep it alive.

Centrism is dead. If you keep trying to resurrect it, you're paving the road to totalitarianism.

I want to now more, but just what's in the article sounds like something I could definitely support. Makes a lot of sense. SenTimKaine SenatorBennet

And Medicare for all is too much? I think it needs to get there incrementally and without Obama's effort people would never know this was possible.

Medicare X sounds like a washed up 1990s healthcare plan that has a special deductible if you're married to Courtney Love.

This is a good piece of healthcare legislation. 2020 candidate amyklobuchar supports similar approaches. This approach is a pathway to universal healthcare.

Too late

Too late.

Ahh centrists. The real reason we can’t fix anything in this country.

Tim I’m sorry you’re not helping! You didn’t help Hillary and you cannot help us.

Hey, where is that Republican discussion about health care for the future?....Oh, that's right, crickets.

Their party pushed the Russian collusion hoax for two years. I want those who participated in spying on and wiretapping a private citizen on false information to go to jail. I don't care if it goes all the way up to Obama!!

Caine is the with the Medicare X-Men? What's his mutant power? The ability to disappoint you and put you to sleep at the same time? MedicareForAll sanders2020

Tim kaine's kid is an antifa member , that's not extreme. lol
