DOJ showed 'gross abuse of prosecutorial power' in its push to drop the case against Michael Flynn, court-appointed counsel says

Gleeson to challenge the Justice Department's motion to drop the case and to examine whether Flynn committed perjury in declaring his innocence for a crime he had earlier admitted.

In an interview with Fox News this week, Attorney General William Barr said Sullivan"is trying to set himself up as an alternative prosecutor" in Flynn's case. The decision on whether to prosecute a person"is vested in the executive branch and not the courts," Barr said. Sullivan argued that federal district judges have the authority to appoint a third party in a case – a practice the Supreme Court has not called into question, particularly in situations in which both sides agree, allowing the adversarial process to break down.

Wow between the left and the right, nobody can agree anymore on what's right or wrong. Absolutely brutal how this division is destroying the United states. Time for new president

Screw them..... impeach this unlawful judge GOPLeader

Coming from an Anti-Trump former judge who just a month ago printed a op-ed saying how he thought it was wrong before he even knew the reasons. Bias at its finest!!

It’s an ex judge who was appointed by judge Sullivan. So, Sullivan got his headline.

Well the American people are being abused everywhere.

DisbarBarrNow GOP CheatToWin

Everything about the trump administration is gross abuse of power!

Yep!!!!

No, the 'gross abuse of prosecutorial power' is the corruption committed to blackmail Flynn into the situation they put him in! Such liars🤢🤢

I am going to take the word of anyone else over this White House and appointed jackasses like Barr. Flynn still lied and should be held accountable. He contacted Russia and requested they take no action regarding the sanctions placed by Obama, before trump was sworn in.

I don't think you can trust this 'court appointed counsel' to be honest and objective.

Arguably DOJ abuse is not larger than MoscowMitch led GOP Senate abuse acquitting Trump during impeachment trial.

How can a push to drop a case be abuse of prosecutorial power? And, who is this 'court appointed counsel'? Is it the Judge's political judge crony? Is he is partner in corruption?

F**k Bill Barr he’s supposed to be the U.S Attorney General not the President’s defense counsel

but how else to free convicted criminal friends of don the con

Just dismiss this already. This grandstanding by corrupt judges is ridiculous!

I would beg to differ. I'm no admirer of General Flynn, but I know how contrived and toxic to critical diplomacy the anti-Russia xenophobia is. J.F.K. devoted his life to preventing war between Russia and the U.S.A. but they made it a crime to speak with Russia's envoy. Shameful!

How come? Muller investigation was based on lies and was not able to provide a single evidence of collusion.

In other words deadbeat donald and his puppy dog Barr are crooks. Lock them up.

Flynn should be sentenced for lying and perjury, court-appointed lawyer saysFormer national security adviser Michael Flynn should be sentenced for lying, including perjuring himself in court, rather than have the charges against him dismissed, a court-appointed attorney and former judge said Wednesday. That’s a political hit job if I’ve ever seen one. If this happens, round up all witnesses, Comey, McCabe, etc for perjuring themselves. They all lie! Your lies are getting old It's sad that a court has to go to extreme measures just to be able to sentence someone that ALREADY PLEADED GUILTY!!!
