The DOJ's internal watchdog told Congress that the FBI botched its high-profile investigation of potential collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government efforts to tilt the 2016 election in Trump’s favor.

The Justice Department’s internal watchdog told Congress on Wednesday that the FBI botched its high-profile investigation of potential collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government efforts to tilt the 2016 election in Trump’s favor.

The inspector general said he found no evidence that political bias influenced the decision to start the probe in July 2016 and said FBI officials had proper legal and factual basis for doing so, rebutting a chief accusation by President Trump that senior FBI agents and Justice Department officials orchestrated a “deep state” conspiracy targeting him.

Sen. Lindsey Graham , chairman of the committee, argued that it showed the FBI had engaged in a conspiracy to target Trump for investigation.“It was as if J. Edgar Hoover came back to life,” Graham said, referring to the FBI’s founder and longtime director who was known for nefarious spying activities.

“We need to rewrite the rules of how you start a counterintelligence investigation and the checks and balances we need,” he added.

This is the LA Times take away from the hearing? Not that the IG accused the FBI of illegally obtaining warrants against a political campaign or how the FBI intentionally falsified emails and documents before the FISA court?

Unfortunately the LALA Land Liberals will believe what the ES Times tells them to believe and will never actually take the time to listen to the testimony. LA has turned into one big echo chamber of Low Info Voters.

Horowitz defended himself yet was destroyed by Lindsey Graham in the senate. Giving Horowitz 4 Pinocchios.🤥🤥🤥🤥

I watched the hearing and your headline and story don’t accurately describe the testimony, which was incredibly critical of the FBI and how it handled the investigation. The IG even used the term “inexplicable” to describe the FBI’s actions. What hearing were your watching?

What? that's not true how you put it. The IG told the nation that there was illegal spying on the Trump Campaign and that information was withheld from the FISA Court.

👆This photo is actually worth more than a 1000 words. 👍👍👍
