The Justice Department said it will not oppose Trump ally Roger Stone's motion to delay his prison sentence by two months and said there was no special treatment given to Stone's request.

In a filing late Thursday, the Justice Department says it is OK with the request because federal prosecutors are letting all defendants who aren't a flight risk delay their prison terms during the pandemic."The US Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia has uniformly adhered" this standard for postponements, the filing says.

His lawyers said he has"serious health issues" and that it would be"life-threatening" for Stone to start his prison sentence while the coronavirus was still raging in the country. Instead of quickly approving Stone's motion -- which was unopposed by the Justice Department -- Jackson demanded more information from prosecutors about their correspondence with Stone's team and about the status of the virus outbreak at the prison.

Prosecutor testifies 'Roger Stone was treated differently' because of Trump ties'Roger Stone was being treated differently from every other defendant,' federal prosecutor Aaron Zelinsky says before House Judiciary Cmte. 'What I heard, repeatedly, was that this leniency was happening because of Stone's relationship to the president.' Trump has two superpowers: 1) Extreme ability to manipulate and intimidate the judicial system for personal self interest 2) Ability to influence/control people (typically white angry males) that are prone to thinking they are victims and search for conspiracies for blame. None of this surprises me at all. So glad to know people are willing to tell the truth about it. ObamaGate
