Justice Amy Coney Barrett has penned her first Supreme Court majority opinion, writing a 7-2 decision that will shield federal agencies from having to disclose certain materials under an exception to the Freedom of Information Act

Barrett's debut majority opinion came in a case that was the first she heard as a justice, back on November 2. The case at hand concerned FOIA, a law designed to allow the public greater access to records from the government. It mandates the disclosure of documents held by a federal agency unless they fall within certain exceptions.

Although the services turned over thousands of documents, they invoked the"deliberative process privilege" for some draft opinions. "The deliberative process privilege protects the draft biological opinions at issue here because they reflect a preliminary view -- not a final decision -- about the likely effect of the EPA's proposed rule on endangered species," Barrett wrote.

The United States is a magical country. This so-called 'Military Party' big engaged in the dead ticket, the fake ballot fraud, the old man and the prostitutes are sitting on the President and Vice President?! The United States has not fallen!!!

Nothing like a transparent government. Transparent as mud.

The problem is the pentagon will continue to fail to release, declassifiable materials.

I wonder whom in her circle it benefited.

That doesn't sound like it is in the best interests of the people, but works for crooked politicians. Time to pack the court tightly.

There's a reason why it's called the FREEDOM of Information. If it's not classified or sealed by a grand jury, then it should be released 'freely' to the entity making the request. Barrett does not belong to the SC...too young...lacks experience...totally incompetent!

of course.

So disappointed but she was not qualified in the beginning and certainly not for the Supreme Court

How the hell did she even become a Fed Judge, oh that’s right Mr Trump pushed for that and then pushed for her to be SCJ. She is as dumb as he is.

Ofjesse isn't wearing her red bonnet.

Conservatism 101: conservatism is just a dirty secret barely kept hidden by proud populists.
