A judge is set to decide Friday whether a Milwaukee man accused of plowing his SUV through a Christmas parade, killing six people and injuring dozens more, will stand trial for murder.

Darrell Brooks Jr. is set to appear in Waukesha County court before Judge Michael Bohren for a preliminary hearing. Such hearings, when the judge decides whether there’s enough evidence to hold a defendant for trial, are usually a formality but can shed light on defense and prosecution strategies.

Some of the people he hit flew up onto the hood of the Escape; at one point Brooks had to lean out the driver’s window to steer because a person had landed on the windshield, according to the complaint. A family visits a memorial at Veteran’s Park for the victims of Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021’s deadly Christmas parade crash in Waukesha, Wis.Any possible motives remain unknown. Court documents filed Wednesday allege Brooks beat the mother of his child minutes before driving into the parade because she refused to bail him out of jail after he was arrested for allegedly running her over with the same vehicle earlier in November.

Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, a Democrat, has taken intense criticism for his office recommending bail be set so low for Brooks.Chisholm told county officials in December that the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a backlog of cases in his office.

Oh this non hate crime - what a joke this should be a hate crime period end of story - did our president every even comment on this ?

This is like describing Dylan Roof as the guy who did that thing at a church.

As long as that murderous SUV gets locked up im ok with the innocent driver walks...

Wow

I thought this person was a car.

This is just a case of NY Post being click baity. He's going for pre trial hearings that every defendant gets. One possible outcome is a dismissal of charges, but it's unlikely, at least in this case.

Wait this is a decision that needs to be made? Actually you know what, let him out. Let him out like we're doing with all the criminals so he can go murder another group of white people in a non race related crime Accelerationism

Summary Judgement….

I should be taken out back to a firing squad

Judge to decide if Wisconsin parade suspect will stand trial | AP NewsMADISON, Wis. (AP) — A judge is set to decide Friday whether a Milwaukee man accused of plowing his SUV through a Christmas parade, killing six people and injuring dozens more, will stand trial for murder. I was appalled the hack writers used 'plowed' to describe a madman going 45mph easily banging into humans like highway traffic cones. Six people died because a Democrat thought it’s a good idea to let criminals out on low bail because they are black. I'm sorry, stand trial? As opposed to what, getting off the hook?

Prosecutors blame judge for letting accused Cleveland cop killer walk free on previous crimesJust days before police say McLoyd committed a violent armed robbery in Cleveland, she was sentenced in a Lorain County robbery case. Despite the teen's lengthy criminal history, the judge there didn't lock her up. Instead, he put her on probation, and now, both Lorain and Cuyahoga County prosecutors are calling that judge out. What a joke! For her lengthy crimes she should have been locked up juvenile hall! Maybe somewhere along the way a life would not have been taken!
